Share Your 2025 Golf Goal

We want to hear from you, Normal Sport reader, about what your golf goal is in 2025. Maybe it's as simple as finishing 18 for the first time or as advanced as shooting your first round in the 60s. There are no wrong answers, but we would love to see what you're personally trying to accomplish this year.
Some things I am striving for: Break par over 18 holes for the first time ever. Play 5 rounds of 18 with no double bogeys. Drop the handicap to 5. Something I can control: practice chipping for 20 hours and putting for 20 hours before August.

Get my wife to do more than search for lost balls at the course when we go together. She nearly hit a hole in one the first round I got her to play seriously, she got a birdie before me, and beat me through the first 9 that day as well.

I have a couple: Break 90 - I’ve hit 90 twice, time to break it. Play 12 times - this seems low for how much I think about golf, but duties dictate I be more realistic

I’d like to just play again. I tore my left Achilles, had surgery, and then had lots of complications in rehab, so I didn’t hit a single golf shot in 2024.

I want to play a full round with my father in law. I am not a big golfer by any stretch of the imagination, and I know that doing this with him will really make him feel loved. To achieve this (and not embarrass myself in the process), I'll need to spend a good amount of time practicing ALL aspects of my golf game.

Continue to play regularly whether it's 9 holes at the local muni on a weekday morning before work or the occasional weekend round when the schedule permits. My wife and I are expecting our first child in early February and the thing you always hear is "say goodbye to the golf game." Hoping to still find that balance of getting out on a semi-regular basis while enjoying our new normal with our baby girl.

Play 1000 holes, and play at least 20 new courses!
