Share Your 2025 Golf Goal

We want to hear from you, Normal Sport reader, about what your golf goal is in 2025. Maybe it's as simple as finishing 18 for the first time or as advanced as shooting your first round in the 60s. There are no wrong answers, but we would love to see what you're personally trying to accomplish this year.
Super non-specific goal, but just playing as much as I can. My wife and I are expecting our first child in June, and we've both gotten really into golf the last couple years. We're thrilled to finally be starting our family, but the thought of losing such a great activity together is starting to hit. I hope we'll be able to play as much as we can leading up (weather in KCMO is another hurdle). Goal is to keep playing together as she transitions through the trimesters and into postpartum life.

Commit to playing at least once a month! When I do play, not take it so serious. Enjoy my time be it by myself, friends, or strangers and just enjoy *trying* to hit some golf shots.

I'd like to break 80, increase my driving distance, but mainly get through the season without injury. It's a shorter season in the Calgary area so there's not a lot of time to get my game in order.

Last year I started getting some gnarly back pain playing golf as a reasonably healthy 30 year old. Recently put in a lot of work in the off season with a TPI professional (highly recommended btw) to understand why it was happening and get on a mobility/strength training regimen. Although I'm already almost there, a healthy and pain free swing in 2025 is all I can ask for. All my other golf goals (more rounds, lower scores, etc.) flow out of that.

Walk more! Golfing in central Ohio is a joke, and you can't get out on a course for under $50 with a cart (I was told prices would go down, but apparently only in Greenland? Am I reading this right?) even at most of the munis. You can save $20 and get a good workout by eschewing the cart.

- Care less. I put too much pressure on myself to perform when playing in events - Get my anti-cap below 20 - Play with and against better players more often
